Giving Up? Yeah! Not An Option!
What if the option of giving up wasn’t an option at all? Like, achieving your goals and or your dreams there just was never an option of giving up? What would that look like to you? Well, if that is never an option doesn’t that mean the only option is to move forward?
We all have hopes and dreams. They might all look different, but we all still have them. Yours might be to finish school, to move your brand or business forward or to continue the stepping stones to your dream job. However, maybe your goals and dreams are to get your health in line, start a new hobby or finish a new project. Dream about it right now! What is that one goal or dream you are currently working on or hoping for? Now, imagine what that hope or dream would look like if the option of giving up was never an option at all. I am sure we would all be achieving a lot more hopes and dreams.
Now, the thing is we do have that option of giving up. That option will continue to be there & that is something we simply cannot get away from. So, since we have two options let's look at them both!
THE OPTION TO GIVE UP
The easier option
The most traveled option.
The options with the most consequences.
If you choose to give up then you are choosing to set yourself back. That hope and dream will always be there, but once you decide to get back on track for it you will have to start further back. Or if that hope and dream is a part of your amazing purpose that the Lord has giving you then you are choosing to stay in the same place, rather than moving forward.
THE OPTION TO MOVE FORWARD
The harder option
The least traveled
The most rewarding
If you choose to move forward that doesn’t mean it will be easy, but what it does mean is you are putting your purpose and you first. You are willing to do hard things. However, you are also saying “Lord, I have two options and even though I want to give up. I will continue to move forward.” & that my friend takes the most trust, that is where growth lives and that is where you continue to not stand still.
Will your hopes and dreams still take a hot minute to achieve? Yes! Will they be hard to achieve? Yes! But will they be worth it? Most definitely! “Anything worth having, is worth fighting for.” Kinda like your relationship with Christ. Will it always be easy? No. Will it be hard at times? Yes. Will it be worth it? Absolutely! But what if instead of taking the easy way out we decided to extend grace to ourselves and continue to move forward. Here is the thing. When it comes to fighting for our hopes and dreams, taking a moment to breathe and then getting back to moving forward is not giving up. I am a true believer in taking a moment. We all need time to rest. It is during that rest where you say, “no I’m done” or “alright let’s go” that make a difference.
So, my friend I encourage you to keep moving forward even if moving forward you need to catch your breath. Keep fighting for you, your hopes, your dreams and the purpose that the Lord has given you. It might not look like it all the time, but there is beauty and glory at the end. This world needs you and your amazing purpose. Don’t give up on yourself & truly don’t let it even be an option!

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, wherever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
