Let’s talk about the Senior Rep Team! Now, I know there has been talks on my instagram both on stories and on my actual feed about a group of girls that I have been shooting. & honestly I probably should have mentioned what was going on before diving in deep, but we literally jumped in with both feet & now I am ready to share what is going on completely.
Oh my heart is so very full!
The heart beyond the high school senior rep team.
I have been shooting college seniors since 2014. I have been able to capture some of the most amazing individuals in this whole wide world. They have trusted me & have allowed me to be a part of their celebration. We all know that I am married to an amazing coach. I have always said from the beginning I want to make an impact at whatever school he is coaching at. I have had the dream of a senior rep team for a very long time. I research so many different ways to have one & all of the things I have found I was not able to connect with. It felt stuffy and very paperworkie. Because of that feeling I decided to hang tight & allow the Lord to take charge (which is honestly what I should have done in the beginning). This past summer I chatted with some of the girlies you see today & asked if they would want to test drive it out. & that is how the Dixie J Photography Senior Rep Team was born. I love how God took my passion for wanting to make an impact at Brody’s school & combined it with my love for photos.
The Break Down Of The Rep Team
After each session if the senior chooses to post the images they will then tag me. I will also have access to use the image on my social media & website.We will end up having a few shoots under our belt once they walk the stage at graduation. The shoots consist of a vision board that I create and send out to all the seniors. We then take that vision and bring it to life & so far the sessions we have created have more than brought those visions to life.
The Future Of The Senior Rep Team
This is my first year to do something like this & honestly I have been so blessed to have the girls that I have this season who are willing to let me learn as I go. The future is, I would love to do this again next year. But as far as the official details, I love the flexibility of it & I am sure I will have more concrete plans as I learn more.
What I Get Out Of It & What The Girls Get Out Of It
I cannot speak on behalf of the girls, but my whole goal behind the senior rep team is to create a beautiful memory to add to their senior year. I am also sure they love the photos as well. What I get out of it is, the opportunity to capture some amazing seniors, create an impact & be creative with the designing of the sessions … oh and the exposure is pretty helpful too.

Do the seniors have to use you as their senior photographer?
No, they for sure don’t. I never want anyone to feel like they have to use me.
Can they use you as their senior photographer?
Absolutely, I would love nothing more than that.
How do you pick which girls are on the team?
With it being my first year I had help from seniors I already knew, but in the future I would love to expand the selection process.
I know we are absolutely starting in the middle of all of this & honestly you might be like whoa, Dixie, What!! But I am truly so grateful for the opportunity the Lord has given me to capture these girls. If His desire is for me to keep doing a rep team over the years, then we will do it. My desire is to also leave a mark alongside my husband’s and to keep pushing forward into the purpose the Lord has given me.
