Colors Of Summer

Happy Summer Friends! Goodness, I just love when seasons change, because then that means the colors are going to change with it. & just like spring we are welcoming in a new set of colors with summer. However, one thing that is different this summer than last summer is our colors are a little more on the softer side than usual. They are a touch softer, but they still have those bright bold colors that we are very much used to. I also noticed that there are a lot more neutrals this year. Neutral meaning; soft white, soft blues, soft creams and khakis & even soft rust. Let’s chat about a few of the colors that are shining more than others.

My goodness this color is bursting at the seams this season. I am so impressed with this color, because it is right in the middle of the yellow family and the orange family. This color is eclectic and very exciting. This color will bring joy to your images and are perfect for main pieces but also accent pieces. Marigold also compliments very well with the other colors in our pallet.

This color is perfect for being a stand allow color or being an accent piece. Rust is exciting because it can be paired with neutrals to keep a strong but soft color in the mix or it can be paired with bold colors to keep the bold colors from being too much. I would for sure try to pair the rust with any of the blues or greens, but you seriously cannot go wrong with pairing it with any of these colors.

As you can tell there are 2 mint color swatches in this pallet. This is so exciting, because mint is a very retro color and that means that the retro style is coming back. That is also why marigold is in the mix and even rust. Mint is such a sweet color that makes you feel happy and at home. You can most definitely add mint to your wardrobe when it comes to photos, but with how nature's greenery is playing out this year, that color is already in a lot of the background.

Like I said most of the colors do pull most of those retro vibes and if I am being honest that makes me so excited. When it comes to style and what I am personally drawn to, that is where my heart finds the most joy. Colors will always repeat themselves, but this summer is so unique and exciting. I simply cannot wait to see how these colors transition into fall and winter. Hopefully, some of them will be carried through. Just remember colors and styles are subjected to what fills your heart with the most joy, so be creative and have plenty of fun!
