3 REASONS WHY SENIOR PHOTOS ARE MORE THAN JUST PHOTOS

Senior Year; regardless of if you are graduating high school or college is a very big deal & while there really shouldn’t be an explanation for why you should document such a moment in your life, I understand that sometimes there needs to be a little convincing. I am obviously very much on the side of you should totally take senior photos, but I do want to explain why I believe they are more than just photos. This is for both high school and college seniors & graduating both is such a major accomplishment. 

Headshots

This is the BIGGEST reason why senior photos are more than just photos. To me this is the most important. In all my senior galleries there are plenty of great headshots to choose from & honestly when seniors are taking photos they have no idea that we are taking possible headshots. Up to date, professional & lifestyle headshots are the perfect way to put your best foot forward. Whether you are applying for a job, need them for a current job, showing off your job on social media or using them to move you forward in a career or job, having a photo that truly shows who you are is important. It shows that you care about what you are showing off and what you are talking about. 

Highlighting Your Achievements

Regardless if you are graduating high school or college you have achieved so very much & that deserves to be shown off. This isn’t bragging, no not at all. People genuinely want to see what you have done and want to celebrate that with you. When you send out a physical/digital graduation announcement you are doing more than just announcing your accomplishment you are allowing others to express joy with you. Show off what you have done and let people be a part of it, because I promise you people do care and they do want to celebrate you. You deserve it & we want to be a part of it.

Last Moment before Adulting Starts

This one might sound funny, but honestly it is true. When you take senior photos they are truly 100% all about you and that next step forward you are about to take. You might be starting an adult job or headed to college either way this is the last moment you have before your next adventure. Be yourself and allow yourself to celebrate the past, but to look forward to the future.

There are so many people that have been a part of your journey; parents, teachers, mentors, family members, classmates and so many others & what better way to say thank you. 

I understand, senior photos are most certainly a luxury. However, they are so much more than that. They are … YOU! You deserve to be celebrated and to be rewarded for your hard work. Enjoy the moments that have helped you become who you are, but also be excited as you move forward. Take Those Photos! Even if it is for your mom and even if you cannot hire someone then grab a friend and have them take them, but either way take the photos. Post the photos. Print the photos. Send the photos. Enjoy the photos.Celebrate you, because I can promise you We want to celebrate you!
