Gift Ideas For The Photographer In You!
This past year we have all found a hobby or have perfected our craft & since we have been chatting so very much about Tips & Tricks for Brands and Businesses I wanted to put together the perfect gift guide for the photographer in you. A couple of these are items that I use on a daily basis and some are items that I just think would be perfect for any brand, business or individual who wants to have fun with photography.
SD Cards // These are always good to have on hand. & while yes you might already have a few over time they slow down due to wear and tear on them. You can never go wrong with having more or a few on hand. I have linked my go to SD Card. This is the one that I use 95% of the time. I love how it gives my camera the ability to shoot fast, but it has enough storage that I can go from a portrait session to a product session without overwhelming it.
Hard Drive // Oh my friend this is a perfect gift to get anyone who is taking photos. Especially if you are a brand or business taking photos. This is where you can keep all your content and even organize your photos in whatever way works best for you. I highly recommend organizing by year and then going from there. The one I have linked is the one I currently have been using for 2020 and so far it is honestly my favorite. I personally go through about 1 TB or 1.5 TB of storage a year, but there are so many different options when it comes to storage. I have all my hard drives organized; For product photography; The Year > The company > Month > Date. For Portrait; The Year > The Client’s Name/School
Blue Light Glasses // while I do not suggest editing colors of your images in them, (they put off warmer tones) I do highly suggest using them any other time you are working on your computer or phone. They help keep your eyes strong and away from harmful blue rays. There are a million different blue light glasses out there. Light Bars // Oh my friend, these are perfect to use on those days you do not have enough natural light for your flat lays. I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about these. I love how they come with filters if you are wanting more warmer or cooler tones. These have been a lifesaver on those days that are just a touch too cloudy.
Selfie Light // I would have never thought in a million years that I would own a selfie light, but my friends I received one for free and I have used that thing so many times. You don’t have to just use it for the light you can use it as a way to take videos or photos hands free. So perfect for a brand or business working on their social media or creating extra content.
Gift Cards // Gift cards are truly underrated. Gift cards to any hardware store, Hobby Lobby, Michaels or even Walmart truly go a long way. Photographers can grab things to create a flat lay box, prop items, season items for flat lays, ect. This list can go forever, but just because it is a gift card do not think it wont go a long way for these boss babes and dudes.
Polaroid Cameras // So much creativity and adventure can be used with a polaroid camera. Honestly, this camera goes on all trips with us before the actual camera. I love taking polaroids for any adventure we have. I actually use the film in some of my product flat lays. So, yes it can always be used for business. Polaroid Film // Usually you can find film and the camera with a bundle deal, but if you are shopping for a boss babe or dude who already has the polaroid camera then film is always a wonderful idea. & usually you can find film in a bundle deal as well. However, always make sure you know the model of camera before buying film. The wide film will not work in a regular polaroid and vis versa.
Photo Printer // Oh a photo printer is truly so much fun. You are able to get all those images off your phone and printed out. This is such a great item to have on hand. However, just like polaroids you do have to buy film for this item as well. I have also attached the film here.
Northbound Nutrition // Any boss babe or dude can most certainly use any form of energy drinks to keep them going. However, with there being so many on the market a clean one is always a way to go. Northbound Nutrition is always my go to when it comes to energy and proteins.
Coffee // & of course you can never go wrong with coffee or coffee mugs. Truly a gift that speaks to one's hearts. Black Rifle Coffee is by far my favorite coffee brand. & each one of their coffee products some form of proceeds goes back.
Planner // No matter how far we get into the digital day and age, a good hard back planner will always be a staple in this photographer’s office. All planners are a great idea. However, the one I have attached is filled to the brim of encouragement and joy for anyone and it is also the one I am currently using.
There are truly so many different items you can use to be so successful as a boss babe or dude, but my friend you are truly the most important out there, so during this season remember to extend grace to yourself and enjoy each and every part of this season. & remember Jesus is ALWAYS the Reason of ANY season.
