Planning Party - Fill Your Calendar

Party Favor

You will notice that your Calendar is not set up like a normal calendar would be. It is set up like a normal new feed on instagram. This is so we can create content, but also keep a cohesive feed at the same time.

  • Start by preparing your calendar - add in the dates and/or the day of the week. Start filling in the boxes from bottom to top. Yes, this might sound crazy, but as you are trying to keep a cohesive feed you will want to be able to match your instagram feed instead of being backwards from it. You will also notice that when you create the next month it will be easier for you to just flow right into it.

  • Consistent Dates - These are things that you do every month. Example: Blog Wednesday, Live Tuesday, Fun Facts Friday or anything that happens consistently month to month. Also, add in consistent days that may only fall on one month instead of everyday of the week in that month. For me I will always announce the topic of my next monthly course the Monday before that course or on the first of the month I will always have the first video of that topic.

  • Fun Days - (Birthday’s, Anniversaries, Labor day, holidays, national dog day or anything that you want to celebrate.) We add these into our content simply because it keeps things way more personal & easier for the people following along to feel like they are a part of something bigger, than just a brand or business. Remember … people don’t just want to buy from you they want to feel like they belong.

  • Add Anything You Want To Show Off - (Example: A new shipment of shirts, a bag someone sent you) If you are a business then this will fill in most of your calendar, because you have things you need to show off and sell. However, if you are a brand or even a business who has services (like a photographer) then this might not fill your calendar, but this is where you show off those things you really want to show off.

  • Add Fillers - (Business Example: Items that need to be sold, Items that you already showed, but want to show more of, anything extra.) However, if you are a brand or a service business this is where you will spend most of your time creating a voice for your brand or business. Informing your people of something. Like for me, this is where I add in photography posts attached with information that will help my clients out.

** Disclaimer ** Your calendar DOES NOT have to be completely full. It is OK if not every space is full. However, stay consistent in whatever you end up doing. You know your audience and you know what you are able to handle.
